Fogon Fridays

The Fogon Four (Charles, Paul, Conrad and Jose) invite you and your loved ones to join us and other Fogon Faithful for Fogon Fridays - the unofficial meeting time of Friends of the Fogon.

A laid-back way to end the week on a high note, Fogon Fridays offers everything you know and love about El Fogon with some extra fun Fogon fellowship.

Membership requirements are simple - merely show up to Keizer's-best-kept-secret-of-a-restaurant around noon on Friday and look for the table that is experiencing culinary Nirvana.

Then, eat, pay, and repeat next week. Like most things in life, consistency is the key here.

Faithful Fogon-Friday'ers are ferverently familiarized with the Friends of the Fogon family (alliteration is my middle name).

During today's meeting we were joined by Dusty Bowers who had heard of Fogon's fame and came to us all the way from Colorado to be a part of the Fogon fold. Notable attendees of weeks past include New York Life agent Michael Lopez and most of the staff of 72mm, one of Salem's premier web design firms.

We look forward to seeing you there next week!

El Fogon Makes SJ Staffers Favorite List!

This week the Statesman Journal staffers listed out their favorite places to grab some great food and our favorite little hideaway, El Fogon has made the list:

Reporter Jillian Daley writes:

"El Fogon because their corn tortillas are actually fluffy corn cakes. Mmmm. And you can get black beans instead of refried beans. Their service is great, and their coffee is great, which is unusual for a place like that."

We agree! If you haven't been in yet, you need to stop in and try it!
